Rare mid 19th century figured walnut london made marine barometer with silvered scale sympiesometer to the centre.porcelain inverted scales to the stick barometer top with double vernier marker for yesterday and today.silvered sympiesometer pressure reading scale and thermometer to the centre.rare to find both sets of barometers together.original brass gimble to the centre and mahogany mounted wall fixing bracket.simple carved decoration to the sides and top pediment.brass mounted base with ancanthus leaf decoration above to the cistern cover.made by joseph hughes of ratcliffe cross,london.working between 1822-77.at this address between 1859-63.he is listed in banfields barometer makers book as 'mathematical,nautical and philosophical instrument maker'.

Fully overhauled.

Measures 38"long X 4"wide X 6"deep with the bracket attatched to the wall.
