Here we have a wonderful Anglo Indian Rosewood coffer c1830. As you can see the chest has breathtaking colour and patina. There are brass mounts to the corners which are peirced and shaped with a diamond shaped mount to the centre. There are strapwork mounts of similar shape decoration and quality down the sides. There are carved linen fold type decorations to the front and sides in fielded panels. The back is also carved with exquisite geometric decoration. The original hinges are in place as are the stunning carrying handles. The chest has a bracket shaped plinth base again adourned with decorative brass mounts. A very high quality chest in fantastic retail condition ready for your home.
