Antique 1.25 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1925

Description

An absolutely wonderful early Art Deco engagement ring. The bright and lively old European cut diamond in the centre is secured in a square platinum setting. Wonderfully intricate openwork shoulders are set with a further 14 diamonds, leading to a slender platinum shank finished with a hand-engraved chevron design.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from WGI.

Cut:  Old European cut in the centre, with transitional cut diamonds in the shoulders.

Colour:  L (I to J in the shoulders).

Clarity:  VS2 (VS2 to SI1 in the shoulders).

Carat:  The centre is approximately 1.25 carat, with a further approximate 0.15 carat in the shoulders.

Circa:  1925.

Size:  L 1/2 (UK) or 5 7/8 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:  The centre stone is approximately 6.81 x 6.91mm. Sits 6.9mm from the finger.

Weight:  4.08 grams.

Metal:  Platinum. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
