Description

This simple and elegant Edwardian silver visiting card case is in the form of an envelope. It is dated London 1909. Of rounded rectangular form, the front with a scalloped thumb-piece and a fully functioning sprung action merchanism: it snaps shut beautifully. The back plain. The sides with a suspension chain. Fitted in its original presentation case, named for "Vincent Goldsmiths, Weymouth"

Maker's marks indistinct.

Lion Passant.

London Assay Mark.

Date letter "o" for 1909.

Dimensions:

10.5cm x 7cm.

4 inches x 2.6 inches.

Condition:

Silver case in very condition with no dings or dents.

Good hinge.

Maker's marks partially rubbed and not identifiable.
