An attractive Victorian card table in well figured walnut, with an elegant turned & carved four pillar base with a centre finial, the scroll legs with castors underneath. The top revolves to reveal an interior compartment when it opens, and the inside of the top is lined with a burgundy baize.

Victorian card tables were designed during the 19th century to facilitate social gatherings and parlour games. Often featuring swivel or fold-over tops lined with baize, they were crafted to serve as decorative wall or console tables when not in active use.
