Outstanding Quality Mid Victorian Inlaid Burr Walnut Serpentine Fronted Credenza

A superb quality mid Victorian burr walnut serpentine fronted credenza with fruitwood inlays and ormolu trim c.1870. Figured walnut top with moulded edge sat over a flared apron, which is inlaid and strung with fruitwood with additional ormolu trim below. The serpentine front with inverted bow fronted framed door to the centre. The quarter veneered burr walnut inlaid door with fruitwood and trimmed with ormolu. Pilasters with Grecian ormolu mounts sat either side of the centre cupboard. Serpentine glass doors to the display cupboards sat to each end; the door frames strung with fruitwood and the glass edge trimmed with ormolu. Moulded edge swept apron foot to the base with burr veneers and fruitwood stringing to match the doors. Pale blue silk linings to all three cupboards, all with working locks and keys.
