12' Pure Wool Runner Rug

1920 - 1940
Description

A top quality Persian pure wool runner from the North West Heriz area of Persia in superb condition; newly cleaned ready for use c.1930. The close hand knotted pile in dark navy blue to the centre section with a continuous line of diamond shaped medallions along the centre of the rug. The medallions are surrounded by a repeat pattern of geometric floral motifs in fawn, teal blue, dark red and soft orange. Slim soft red and fawn geometric border to the rug edge.
