A striking sculpture by Frederique Cederlund-Ozanne (1880-1966) depicting two pigeons in an embrace. Patinated nickel bronze. Circa.1920-30s.
 
The work is beautifully composed and crisply cast, with the female bird nestling into the neck of the male who is holding his wings around her in a protective embrace. Clear signature to the right.
 
There are some marks and scuffs commensurate with age but generally the whole piece displays extremely well.
