London City Antiques has dated this Burr Walnut Tilt-top Table to the 1860s.
The oval top is finished with a moulded edge and incorporates a practical tilt-top mechanism, allowing it to be raised vertically for easier storage while also displaying the attractive burr walnut surface.

The substantial solid walnut pedestal is richly carved with bold scrolling and foliate decoration. It is raised on four sweeping cabriole legs with carved details and scrolling feet, each terminating in a porcelain castor.

A versatile antique tilt-top table suitable for use as a centre table, breakfast table or intimate dining table. Its finely figured top and sculptural carved base make it an impressive focal point within both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Condition
In good antique condition with light marks and signs of wear consistent with age and use. There is an old age-related split to the pedestal column which appears stable.
