A demi-lune table is a semi-circular table designed to sit flush against a wall. Originating in eighteenth-century Europe, the term derives from the French phrase for half-moon, describing its distinctive curved silhouette.

Georgian demi-lune tables were predominantly constructed from dense hardwoods such as Cuban mahogany, walnut, or satinwood. Joints were traditionally secured using hand-cut dovetails and wooden dowels, often finished with brass hinges on fold-over models.
