The World is Made of Glass Ltd. has dated this Georgian Glass Oil Lamp to the 18th Century.

The lamp is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the foot consistent with some 200 years of use. It has a rough pontil mark on the base of the foot.
The lamp has an ovoid-shaped bowl reservoir measuring 6.5 cm (2.6 inches) in diameter. The bowl sits on a hollow inverted baluster stem with a shoulder knop. There is a "drip tray" disk below the reservoir. The stem ends in a collar and a domed and folded foot that measures 13.3 cm (5.3 inches) in diameter. The lamp is 28 cm (11.2 inches) in height.
The handle also has a well-worked thumb rest. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. The lamp has a distinct lean to it.
It weighs 375 g. (~ 13 oz.).
