Victorian Oak Overmantle Mirror

Description

A late Victorian pollard oak overmantel mirror with original bevelled mirror plate, dating from circa 1895. It has a moulded gadrooned cornice with carved corners above a rectangular bevelled mirror plate flanked by side columns with carved details in a well-figured honey coloured pollard oak.

Condition Report:

Some minor wear and marks commensurate with age. The bottom right/left corner is missing a small section of beading (see photo). Good warm colour and patina to the oak frame. Bevelled mirror plate is original with some general age related wear, light foxing and loss of silvering in places.
