Description

An absolutely stunning 18th Century GEORGE III Silver Gilt Snuff box by THOMAS PHIPPS & EDWARD ROBINSON, LONDON 1795.

Cartouche with initials engraved.

Measuring 5 cm x 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm and weighs 33.3 grams.

In excellent antique condition for its 231 years, the hallmarks are very good, hinge working well , there is slight surface wear, gilding is still bright, engraving very good, usual signs of wear all commensurate of age and use. It looks barely used.

A beautiful Georgian period piece, the best piece I’ve seen in a long time.

In excellent antique condition for its 231 years, the hallmarks are very good, hinge working well , there is slight surface wear, gilding is still bright, engraving very good, usual signs of wear all commensurate of age and use. It looks barely used.
