Description

A charming 18th century oak lowboy side table, featuring a well-figured plank top above a single full-width drawer fitted with later brass replacement swan neck handles chosen in keeping with the character of the piece. The oak has developed a rich colour and attractive patina, with plenty of character from centuries of use. Raised on elegantly turned legs united by peripheral stretchers, this is a practical and versatile piece suitable as a lamp table, side table or occasional table.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and historic staining to the top, together with evidence of old use and wear consistent with its age. The brass handles are later replacements but are sympathetic to the piece. Overall, the table remains solid, sound and ready for use.
