French Onyx & Champleve Four Glass Mantel Clock

Description

A fine quality French 19th century brass and onyx framed antique mantel clock with colourful champleve enamel ornamentation to the case, dial and pendulum. The case has acanthus leaf mouldings and further acanthus leaf moulding to the feet, with cherub term figures to the canted corners. There are four bevelled glass panels showcasing the clocks movement and compensating pendulum.

The clock has a brass dial with Arabic numerals and a French eight day duration movement which strikes the hours and half hours on a gong.

The movement is by Samuel Marti and stamped A.1

Made in France

The brass has been cleaned and lacquered. The movement has been cleaned and serviced and comes with a 12 month guarantee.
