A fine Georgian panel‑back, or high‑back, settle constructed from pine and fruitwood, notable for its strong vernacular character and exceptional provenance. This impressive settle was purchased from the National Trust at Avebury, where it formerly sat in the Great Barn, adding a rare and compelling layer of documented history.

The settle has a tall, architectural back with panelled construction, lending it both authority and visual impact. The mixed woods have developed fabulous colour and surface, with a depth and warmth that only centuries of use can achieve. The surface remains wonderfully honest and untouched, with open grain cracks and natural movement entirely commensurate with age.
