Description

P071 A Fine Quality English William IV Mahogany Lamp or Occasional Table, Circa 1830A well-proportioned English William IV table, c.1830. The circular top is inset with dark blue tooled leather, raised on a slender turned and carved column, terminating in a circular moulded base with three shaped, downswept feet. The table retains its original finish, which has been sympathetically cleaned and waxed to reveal a mellow, rich colour and natural patina consistent with age. It comes from a private home where it has been very well cared for over the years. This versatile form works beautifully as a lamp table or side table beside a sofa or armchair.

Good antique condition. Woodworm and wobble free. Solid and sturdy throughout. Retains original finish and mellow patina. Ready for home. c1830
