Description

Mid 19th.c. French plaster bust of a gentleman c.1850. Head and shoulders length portrait bust of a striking looking gentleman, unclothed but with hair styled in the fashion of the period. Inscribed 'Gaunois' and dated 1850 on the right hand side. Presented on the original shallow plinth (15" x 13") in green velvet with brass studs. Repair to the left hand ear, otherwise very good condition.
