Ritas Bazaar has dated this Bohemian Cobalt Glass Decanter to the 19th Century.
The portrait reserves are executed to a particularly high standard and remain remarkably well preserved.
The finest examples of this specialised export production are closely associated with Ludwig Moser of Carlsbad (present-day Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic), whose workshop supplied luxury commissions to royal and aristocratic clients across Europe and the Persian Qajar world.
Particularly desirable is the survival of the original steeple-form stopper, matching the body in colour and decoration. Such fragile stoppers were frequently lost or damaged, making complete examples increasingly difficult to find.
Combining historical interest, exceptional decorative appeal and excellent preservation, this decanter is a fine example of late nineteenth-century Bohemian luxury glass.

Condition:
Minor wear to the gilding in a few places. Otherwise excellent antique condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. The portrait medallions remain exceptionally well preserved.
