Antique Victorian Upholstered Window Seat

Description

A Victorian upholstered window seat of elegant serpentine form, raised on finely carved cabriole legs terminating in porcelain castors. The shaped mahogany frame displays attractive flowing lines, while the generously padded seat has been upholstered in a smart neutral fabric finished with decorative studwork. Graceful and practical in equal measure, it would make an excellent window seat, bedroom bench or occasional seat. The rich mahogany frame contrasts beautifully with the upholstery, creating a refined Victorian appearance. A particularly attractive example.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with signs of age and use commensurate with age. There is very light surface wear to the frame including age-related marks, knocks and scratches. The upholstery has recently been re-upholstered and the seat is well sprung. The porcelain castors are present and the seat remains structurally solid and sound throughout. Overall, a well-presented Victorian window seat ready for use.
