Lee Hawkins Antiques & Interiors has dated this French Kingwood Centre Table to the 19th Century.
The warm kingwood veneers display superb colour and depth, creating a striking visual centrepiece from every angle.

The frieze is adorned with finely cast gilt-bronze ormolu mounts featuring classical masks and scrolling foliage, while the graceful cabriole legs terminate in decorative sabots. A shaped undertier unites the legs and supports an unusual pierced brass gallery basket, a highly decorative feature often associated with luxury French furniture of this calibre.

Whether placed beside a sofa, within a reception room, hallway, bedroom, or sophisticated interior scheme, this versatile table functions equally well as a lamp table, occasional table, centre table, or decorative accent piece.
