Poirot Art Deco has dated this Art Deco Pedestal Desk to the 1930s.
Each drawer with circular chrome stepped handles and the original escutcheons, although without a key. The original mustard coloured leather top, with attractive tooling. The leather itself with some marks commensurate with age. The desk is veneered to the four sides, allowing it to sit facing into a room if required.

The Betty Joel Token label to the underside of the central section, dated June 1938, signed by Betty Joel and the makers.
Betty Joel (pictured) designed furniture, textiles and interiors, and had shops in Sloane Square and Knightsbridge. The Studio Magazine featured her work between 1927 and 1937. Today the quality and design of her pieces are highly regarded.

All our furniture is professionally waxed and polished and throughly restored where necessary. This desk is in very good condition.
