A superb Victorian open bookcase crafted in striking amboyna with crisp ebonised contrasts. The frieze is decorated with fine marquetry, and fluted uprights divide the piece into three sections, each with two adjustable shelves. The warm amboyna grain, rich interior, and solid plinth base give it both presence and practicality.
