Description

A fabulous antique Kurdish runner, hand woven circa 1900. The design features an all over geometrical design on a deep chocolate field encased by a simple camel coloured border. Lovely wool quality and great secondary colours of blues, greens, golds and reds. I love the way the main design changes a quarter of the way up and also the way the weaver couldn't quite work out the border at the bottom end! Bit wonky at the bottom end (it's 10cms wider) but full of charm and character

Size: 2.97m x 0.93m (9ft 9in x 3ft 1in)

This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear. Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
