A Stunning Quality Victorian Period Burr Walnut and Ormolu Mounted Library Table

Description

A stunning quality Victorian Period burr walnut and ormolu mounted library table. The rectangular top with bowed ends veneered in burr walnut and satinwood with floral inlaid rosettes. Having two concealed mahogany lined drawers with finely cast ormolu appliqués and beading. Raised on four turned and carved columns with incised gilded detail and ormolu collars which are standing on a platform base with acanthus carved detail and further ormolu appliqués and beading untied by a shaped stretcher. English circa 1860-1870, attributable to one of the leading cabinet makers of this Period likely to be Gillows or Holland and Sons.

Dimensions: 54" wide x 27" deep x 29" high
