The original painted 14" dial with Roman numerals and makers name. The hinged glazed door with brass bezel sat over the dial and blue steel hands. Single fusee movement with wire drive and anchor escapement. Thomas Russell was regarded as one of Liverpool's best clock makers and produced high quality clocks and chronometers, and held the Royal warrant for clock maker to Queen Victoria. This example is presented in superb original condition with a rich patina to the case and is fully serviced and working. Sold with a 12 month guarantee.
