Description

A wonderful antique Kurdish rug, handwoven circa 1900. The rug features an all over geometrical design on a deep indigo field and ivory border. Woven with soft velvety wool and beautiful secondary colours of greens, reds and golds. A great example of tribal weaving.

Size: 1.92m x 1.19m (6ft 4in x 3ft 11in)

This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear, very slightly heavier in a couple of small areas, barely noticeable (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
