Victorian Mahogany Table

Description

A good quality antique Victorian writing table or console table, with a mahogany base and attractive tulipwood top. The piece has a useful drop leaf back, allowing the depth to extend when required, making it practical as a writing desk, small work table, side table or occasional serving table.

It has two front drawers with turned wooden knobs, raised on well-shaped turned legs. The tulipwood top has a warm colour and decorative grain, giving the table a more unusual and attractive look than a standard mahogany desk.

A versatile piece of antique furniture, well suited to a hallway, study, living room, bedroom or shop display.

Condition

Good antique condition with age-related wear, marks, scratches and signs of use. The top shows some surface wear, darker marks and variation to the finish, as shown in the photos. Drawers are clean and usable. Structurally sound and presents well overall.
