Art Deco Silver & Guilloche Enamel Magnifying Glass by the Adie Brothers, Birmingham 1937

1920 - 1940
Description

This is a very pretty medium to small desk magnifying glass. It has silver mounted pale lilac guilloche enamel handle, a very desirable colour. The sunburst engine-turned enamel inset present on both sides of the handle. Mounted with a 5cm diameter steel mount inset with magnifying glass.

Hallmarks:

A Bros for the Adie Brothers.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "N" for 1937.

Condition:

Very good.

Handle in excellent condition.

Glass with no surface scratching.

No loss to the enamel.

Dimensions:

Length 10cm / 4 inches.

Glass diameter: 4 cm / 1.6 inches.
