Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Campaign tables were portable furniture items designed for British military officers to use in the field during the 18th and 19th centuries. They feature folding or collapsible mechanisms that allowed easy transport in luggage chests.

Most campaign tables were constructed from solid mahogany, teak, or walnut, chosen for durability and resistance to warping in varied climates. Iron or brass hardware was utilised for hinges and pivoting leg joints.

Authentic pieces exhibit hand-finished brass fittings, flush hinges or steel pivot pins, and wear around folding joints. Timber grain alignment across drop leaves and historical marks on structural supports also indicate age.

Position the table beside an armchair or sofa to function as an occasional drinks stand. Its compact footprint and folding mechanism make it ideal for small spaces or flexible living areas.

Dust regularly with a soft dry cloth and apply a beeswax polish annually along the wood grain. Avoid placing the table near direct heat sources or in areas with high humidity fluctuations to protect the timber and mechanism.
