Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco diamond pendants from the 1930s typically feature geometric silhouettes, platinum or white gold mountings, and hand-cut diamonds such as Old European or transitional cuts. Design emphasis during this period shifted towards streamlined elegance and architectural metalwork.

Pendants from this era were predominantly crafted using platinum, white gold, or silver-topped gold settings to highlight the white colour of the diamonds. Mountings featured hand-set Old European cut or single cut accent diamonds secured with delicate claws or bezel settings.

Authentic pieces display distinct period features including hand-faceted Old European cut diamonds with open culets and small tables, alongside period-correct hallmarks or makers marks. Millgrain detailing and delicate pierced metalwork are also common indicators of genuine 1930s craftsmanship.

A vintage diamond solitaire pendant offers versatile styling, pairing seamlessly with understated necklines, tailored evening wear, or layered alongside modern fine chains for a contemporary look.

Clean vintage diamond jewellery gently using a soft brush, mild detergent, and lukewarm water, avoiding harsh chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners if settings are delicate. Store the piece individually in a lined jewellery pouch to prevent scratching from other metals or stones.
