The Silver Cabinet has dated this Silver Railway Lamp Pincushion to the 1910s.
The base is filled to add stability and neatly finished with leather. The top comes off to reveal a large and useful void and the 'lamp' at the front is actually a mirror. The lid fits snugly. There are a couple of small knocks around the rim but nothing to worry about. A novelty!
