A superbly painted Victorian oil on canvas by A M Gauci of a short horn bull, signed and dated 1865 along with provenance. Painted in the style typical of the artist who specialised in this subject, the white Short Horn bull taking up the centre of the painting with superb detail. Sat against a countryside setting with the trees in full leaf and the sky a deep and cloudy blue. Signed to the centre and dated by the artist. The rear of the painting giving provenance including the breeder of the cow, original owner and ownership details of the painting.
