19th century
Description

A 19th century Fahua glaze Chinese porcelain lamp made from a guardian figure roof ridge tile mounted on an ebonised wood base The contemporary shade has been made to match with chinoiserie scenes. There is a small loss to the top of his staff ans some chipping around his bonnet and a small tear to the silk shade as can be seen in the photographs. The tile including figure and wood base measures 40 cms high whilst the overall height including shade is 79 cms.
