The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this Silver Half Hunter Pocket Watch to the 1890s.
The watch has an English ¾ plate stem-winding movement which is working nicely.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 51.5mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside all three covers for London 1894, together with a case maker’s mark for the London watch case maker and silversmith William Matthews. The case is in lovely condition for such an early piece, just light surface marking to the back.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.
Inside, there is a glass lens which is in lovely condition.
The dial is in good condition, just some faint hairlines running from the centre. Pin-set hands.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
