Ritas Bazaar has dated these Volkstedt Allegorical Porcelain Figures to the Georgian era.

Cream-toned porcelain, floral hand-painting, antique-inspired costume and restrained gilding define the pair’s visual appeal. The figures are finely modelled, with graceful movement, soft drapery and particularly well-painted faces of notable quality.

Under the direction of Christian Nonne, Volkstedt reached a significant artistic peak and established its internationally recognised figure tradition.
The undersides bear the underglaze blue crossed-forks mark associated with the historic Volkstedt manufactory, together with impressed model numbers.

These figures represent an especially desirable survival from one of the most important periods in early European porcelain.
