Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Georgian portrait miniature is a small, highly detailed painting, typically executed in watercolour on ivory, paper, or vellum, created during the 18th and early 19th centuries as an intimate personal keepsake.

Artists traditionally painted using fine watercolour pigments applied to thin wafers of ivory or card, which were then housed inside protective glass, surrounded by gilt-metal, copper, or gold frames.

Authentic pieces feature delicate brushwork such as stippling or hatching, era-specific clothing and hairstyles, original period frames with hanging loops, and occasionally an artist signature or inscription.

These compact artworks can be arranged as part of a curated gallery wall, displayed on small easel stands on bookshelves, or framed within a glass shadow box alongside complementary decorative objects.

Store or display the item away from direct sunlight, excess moisture, and extreme temperature fluctuations to protect the organic backing materials from warping and prevent the paint pigments from fading.
