A very nice classic straight rail Victorian bed with lovely colouring. The castings and clamps are pretty and all in good detail, the castings have a lovely inset cross design. Do see the photos.

Fully restored to be sturdy, practical and beautiful. Whole frame cleaned and tested for durability. Shot blasted and primed prior to hand paint finish in a Little Greene custom colour and Atelier Ellis’ Stilling waxed over to protect and give a soft sheen. All joints checked for secure fit.

Suitable for standard King size mattress 5’ x 6’6” / 150cm x 200cm

Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress). As an alternative to the wood slats, we can supply platform and sprung bed bases for superior mattress support and to raise the get into bed height.

The bed is photographed on a 2” bed base with our Bordeaux mattresses. We can supply hand-made mattresses in all comfort choices, and also with zip and link connections. Please see our web site or email for specifications and prices.

Bedsteads have been sourcing, restoring and retailing antique beds and bedroom furniture for over 30 years.

We have our own workshops located along side our showroom in a beautiful medieval barn seven miles south of Bristol.
