18th-Century George III Embroidered Silk and Wool Pastoral Farming Picture

Brief Description:

This is a wonderful late 18th-century Georgian period Embroidered Silk and Wool Pastoral Farming Picture, depicting three classical figures standing in a woodland setting with three small lambs.

They each wear elegant robes with open, woven sandals.

Dating to circa 1780-1790, and mounted within the original gesso moulded frame that retains the original 18th-century protective glass panel.

It is a highly detailed embroidery with good, vibrant colours.
