1930s Consul Pocket Watch

Description

1930s Consul pocket watch.

The watch has a 15-jewel Swiss stem-winding movement, believed to be by Consul, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold plated Star model from the Dennison Watch Case Company, an English case manufacturer and supplier to various watch makers. The case is in good condition, just general light surface marks mainly to the back, but nothing too detrimental at all.

The glass lens is in good condition.

The dial is in lovely condition with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. It appears that the watch was made as a private label piece and the dial would have been left blank for the original jeweller to add their name and address.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
