Webberley Antiques has dated this Georgian Mahogany Wingback Chair to the Georgian era.
Both rear raked legs with carved borders and scrolls at the foot.
Newly upholstered in a top quality heavyweight silk weave fabric, a c.1900 fabric bought unused on a roll and the pattern of which works fabulously with the carved detailing on the chair.
This is a very large and capaciously comfortable chair of exceptional quality. Extremely heavy and solid with no weakness or movement in the joints and no breaks, repairs or replacements to the show frame other than some very tiny professional repairs to small losses on the carved apron on one side.

34 inches wide, 26 inches deep and 46.5 inches high (all max)
Floor to seat is 17 inches.
