Antique Edwardian Walnut Music Cabinet

Edwardian walnut music cabinet dating from the early 20th century, originally intended for the storage of sheet music. The cabinet features a glazed door enclosing a shelved interior, with attractive figured walnut veneers and simple line inlay decoration to the top and sides.

At some point in its life the cabinet has been adapted with additional depth, most likely to allow for record storage, making it a practical and versatile piece for modern use whilst still retaining its period character. A useful and decorative piece.

CONDITION REPORT:

The cabinet is structurally sound. There is a dent to the top along with general age related marks, scratches, staining and some areas of veneer loss consistent with age and use. The later depth extension is visible on inspection. The door opens and closes as it should. Overall a usable example with honest wear.
