Art Deco cut-to-clear glass is a decorative glassmaking style from the 1920s and 1930s characterised by fusing a layer of coloured glass over a clear crystal base before cutting geometric patterns through the outer layer.

Artisans created cased glass by gathering clear lead crystal and applying a thin outer layer of coloured molten glass, which was then mouth-blown into a mould and hand-cut using abrasive wheels to expose the clear layer underneath.
