LTANTIQUES.CO.UK has dated this William and Mary Chest to the 17th Century.

Constructed in walnut, the chest features beautifully arranged oyster veneers across the top, drawer fronts, and sides, creating a striking pattern throughout.
The veneers are framed with olive and holly crossbanding, which adds a refined contrast.

The chest is arranged in the classic 2 over 3 drawer configuration, with two short drawers above three graduated long drawers.
Each drawer retains attractive brass drop handles, complementing the rich tone and patina of the walnut.

Raised on bun feet, the piece has excellent colour and surface throughout, with crisp veneers, decorative inlay and a wonderful grain.
The top is particularly attractive with an intricate field of oyster veneers bordered by fine crossbanding.
