S and S Timms Antiques Ltd has dated these Georgian Mahogany Chest Drawers to the Georgian era.
These include the exceptional quality of construction, the use of the well figured, rich mahogany timbers and the practical dimensions. It also has a particularly nice caddy moulded edge to the top which is significantly rarer than the more commonly found thumbnail moulding and a really nice feature.

The colour and surface throughout remain excellent and overall it is in good condition with very little restoration, or damage of consequence to speak of. The retention of its original brass handles and its original bracket feet is another indicator of how well loved and cherished this item has been throughout the years of its life.

Perfect for use in a variety of different rooms around the home this chest is incredibly functional and is still as fit for purpose as the day it was made. It’s even just about small enough to serve a purpose as a bedside table if required.

As with all items we offer for sale this georgian mahogany chest has been examined in our workshops by our highly skilled, traditional antique furniture restorers and received a natural wax polish, before being presented for sale.
