Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco diamond rings from the 1930s are characterised by geometric lines, architectural symmetry, and the use of platinum. Central round brilliant or old European cut stones were frequently paired with step-cut side stones, such as baguettes, to emphasize clean structural forms.

During the 1930s, platinum was the preferred metal for high-end solitaire rings due to its strength, neutral colour, and ability to hold fine detail. Central diamonds were typically mounted alongside accent diamonds cut into geometric shapes like baguettes or tapered baguettes.

Authentic Art Deco solitaire rings feature period-specific hallmarks, hand-finished claw settings, geometric side-stone arrangements, and metal composition typical of the 1920s and 1930s. Platinum marks and specific stone cutting styles, such as hand-cut baguettes, also indicate authenticity.

An antique platinum solitaire ring integrates easily into modern jewellery stacks due to its classic profile and neutral metal tone. It pairs well with contemporary slim platinum bands, diamond eternity rings, or mixed-metal minimalist pieces.

Clean antique platinum and diamond rings using warm water, mild detergent, and a soft-bristled brush to remove surface debris. Professional inspection of the claws and stone settings every six to twelve months ensures the security of the central and shoulder stones.
