Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Originating in early nineteenth-century Britain, Regency wine tables were compact, portable occasional tables designed to hold drinks or small items. They are characterised by clean architectural lines, geometric tops, fine wood veneers, and subtle inlay details.

Cabinetmakers during the Regency era primarily utilised imported mahogany, rosewood, and satinwood. Construction techniques often incorporated boxwood or satinwood stringing, crossbanded veneer borders, and slim turned or square tapered legs.

Authentic Regency pieces typically display hand-cut joinery beneath the top frame, natural timber shrinkage along the grain, and hand-planed underside surfaces. Proportional balance, original construction fixings, and age-related patination on the finish also indicate period origin.

A Regency wine table functions well as an accent piece in a living room, positioned beside an armchair or sofa. It can hold a small reading lamp or decorative ceramics while providing compact functionality in limited spaces.

Dust mahogany surfaces regularly using a soft, dry microfibre cloth along the direction of the wood grain. Protect the finish from direct sunlight and heat sources, and apply a high-quality beeswax polish sparingly once or twice a year.
