Superb 9' Pure Wool Runner Rug

A superb quality 9' long antique Persian pure wool hand knotted runner in excellent unworn newly cleaned condition c.1910. The close deep hand knotted fine pile with rich red background, medallion to the centre and leaf and floral design sprays repeated around the medallion in champagne creams, fawns and blues. Border towards the outer edge with dark blue background and repeat geometric design decoration; the design typical of the Hamadan area of Persia. Presented in excellent unworn stain free condition, newly cleaned ready for use. Keep up to date via Instagram - sturmansantiques. Measures 9' 3" long x 31.5" wide.
