A beautiful example of a Gillows Mahogany Longcase Grandfather clock in very good condition throughout.

The clock with its original painted dial, signed Wm Lassell, Toxteth Park, a renowned maker of excellent repute, his clocks are very collectable and getting harder to find.

8 day 4 pillar rack & snail striking, deadbeat escapement movement fully cleaned & serviced, in full working order and keeping excellent time.

Stunning Swan neck pediment hood with painted glass panels and a caddy top

The early period one painted dial with working centre seconds and centre calendar dials, the clock striking the hours on a bell. The top arch containing the revolving Moon dial.

The case of sumptuous quality, typical Gillows quality with stunning Mahogany timbers, reeded pillars and Ogee bracket feet, just beautiful!
