Description

A handsome antique mahogany partners desk, square in form and designed to be used from either side. Both faces are identical, each fitted with four drawers, making it ideal for a shared workspace, centre-of-room positioning, or simply someone who likes symmetry done properly.

The desk stands on elegant turned and fluted legs with paneled friezes to all sides, showing good quality craftsmanship throughout. The top is inset with the original black leather writing surface. Compact yet substantial, this is a versatile desk that works just as well in a home office as it does in a professional setting.

Condition

Good antique condition overall. The mahogany frame is solid and structurally sound, with age-related marks and wear consistent with honest use over time. The leather top shows surface marks, and wear commensurate with age, adding character rather than detracting. Drawers run well. All wear is cosmetic and in keeping with the piece’s age and use.
